Homecoming Proves To Be A Spirited Successl Homecoming l982 was one of the most spirited in many years. Each day of the week, Warriors dressed up as punkers or some other strange characters to get spirited for the big game, in which the Warriors were victorious. The Homecoming assembly proved to be excellent, and dis- played was the talent still possessed by alumni. With Craig Nielson and Jeff Chapman as emcee's, the show ran smooth- ly. They entertained us as Mr. Rodgers and Wilma Wilma. A wide variety of performances were included in the show. from Lance Reader singing Even Now to Graeme Sellers and Martin English acting out their Parrot Sketch . The football game proved to be extremely spirited, with alumni in great attendance. The halftime show was full of suspense, as we waited for the crowning of the '82 King and Queen. Lenard Brunsdale and Joan Bracken were awarded this honor. To top off the festivities, the Homecoming dance was a big success. lt was held in the Boy's Gym and the decorations were magnificant. Curtain Time Stars On Their Way To Fame Desire, talent, and the ability to entertain were all qualities that could be found in the performers who participated in this year's Curtain Time assembly held on October 2. Rob Jarvis and Ken Millett were M.C.'s for the show, acting as two irresponsible spies on a mission to capture the villain, who they unsuccessfully tried to spot in each act. A wide variety of well-prepared talent was displayed, making it obvious that the final product was the result of hard work and the continuous attempt to perfect and polish the perfor- mances. The acts came in a wide variety, among them the Flying Zucchini Brothers from outer Mongolia who paid a special visit to Westwood. Clad in blue gym suits, the brothers displayed their extremely difficult gymnastic stunts while their sponsor translated to the audience their strange for- eign utterings and explained the tricks they performed. Along with skits, singing and instrumental acts also appeared on the agenda, including Westwood's Honor Choir, and a number by the Jazz Band led by Bob Bamrick. ln conclusion, Dance Production members were a perfect imitation of New York City girls as they performed to the sound of Boy From New York City .
