VUAUGONIAN USHERS SOCIAL COUNCIL COMMITTEE The main purpose of the 'Wau- gonian Council is to raise money for scholarships for five or six graduating girls and boys. The way in which this purpose is achieved is through the annual Talent Show. The club is made up of seven members represent- ing the junior and Senior Gregg Clubs. the Girls' Athletic Associa- tion, Home Economics Club, and one Senior Y-Teen. SOCIAL COMMITTEE The ushers give of their extra time to perform various duties at our numerous football and bas- ketball games. These duties in- clude showing spectators to their reserved seats and passing out programs to both adults and stu- dents. The ushers are chosen on a volunteer basis receiving fifty cents per game for their services. 91 The details connected with the all-school dances and football hops are carried out by the mem- bers of the social committee. To accomplish this work more effi- ciently, the committee is divided into decorations, checking, tickets, chaperones, and publicity, each with their respective jobs. This committee made the Christmas Capers, Harvest Ball, Mardi Gras, and the Wausau Day Dances pos- sible. MONITORS NOON HOUR ACTIVITIES Monitors play an important part in the every day functions of our school. Being picked on a volunteer basis, they register their free periods at the beginning of each semester. They are assigned to different posts throughout the school where they attend to such duties as distributing absentee lists, collecting attendance folders, and returning green passes, or es- corting guests and visitors to vari- ous destinations. ASSISTANTS Noon hour activities provide fine entertainment for students who eat their lunches at school. The five young men whom you see below are in charge of the various games, dances, movies, and gym equipment and have of- fered their time and efforts to making this program operate smoothly. PHOTOGRAPHERS The job of the Activities Pho- tographers is to see that all stu- dents have pictures on their ac- tivities tickets. These snaps are used as a means of identification for football games, basketball games, and the like. The shutter- bugsv of this staff are responsible for the taking, developing, iden- tifying, cutting, sorting, stapling and distributing pictures of over 1,575 students. lemon, Slieber, Borclmrdr, W eden.
