Many are promising students in their Senior, Junior, or Sopho- more year looking toward a career in Business Communica- tions. Their annual and weekly activities consist of various speakers from organizations, agencies, and private business schools. These speakers present a tantilizing and interesting view on what they seek in a secretary along with other information. At the latter part of the year, they enjoy a casual banquet at the Alico Inn. J ohn Choat The Field and Stream Club has had well planned and well organized programs under the supervision of Wayne Pick, program chairman, and the two members of his committee, Randy Willis and John Choat. For activities they had fishing and camping films, boating and safety films. For speakers they invited the assistant game warden of McLennen County to talk to them. A retired commercial fisherman from the gulf gave a good talk on hatcheries and fish reserves also. R eporter Chartered by the Texas Education Agency's Vocational Department in 1950, Waco High D. E. C. A. is in its 19th year of training in the fields of marketing and distribution. Among the graduates of Waco High D. E. C. A. are store managers, heads of departments, dentists, lawyers, bankers business managers, and many that operate their own businesses. It is estimated by the D. E. Department that 85 per cent of all D. E. graduates remain in the fields of marketing, and distribution after graduation. As members of D. E. C. A., Waco High students are trained in various fields of retail, wholesale, and service selling, and put into practice what they learn in class at their respective training stations each afternoon. As active members of D. E. C. A., Waco High School D. Efers participate in state, area, and national leadership conferences each year. D. E. The club is an activity group which consists of learning rythms and dance steps. The p learning rythrns and dance steps. The repertoire included in the program is called folk dances, because the steps have a memorized or set pattern.
