My stay here was one of changes and contradictions too numerous and complicated to list, I leave VMI with a sense of relief VMI has taught me much, but I ' ve also missed alot In closing, I want to especially thank my parents and family, whose home was always my refuge. Bruce Cobb Gottwald, Jr. Teddy ' s Brother, LeMuir Richmond, Virginia History-Special Student Young Dennocrats; Soccer 4, 3. 2; President of Number One Club 2, 1; Lacrosse 4, 3. 2; Cadet Staff, A little over 4 years ago I decided that I would go to college and have a good time, which is exactly what happened I somehow changed my mind in the middle of my freshman-not rat year and decided to alter my life style - somewhat. I thought about that change but never regretted my being here. Special thanks go to my parents and family, who come first in my life. I must also mention the Fulghams who have always supported me. Certain bonds of friendship are made at VMI that will last a lifetime, for life would not be the same without them. Members of Room 150, Clay. V , Bruce, and The Legend - Tom Jack Slipek are those who come to mind. My good times were theirs and theirs mine, because most of the time we were in the same boat, sink or swim. Thanks to all my Brother Rats and especially Charlie and Jesse, times were much easier and a lot more enjoyable. When I arrived I knew physically it would be demanding but nobody told me we were going to have to study! Most of all I want to say, I Love You Janet. Thank you for being here and giving me your love and support when I needed it most It won ' t be long now I love you to Pooh Bear ! Finally, I send my love and thanks to Mom, Dad, and Donna. To Tim I send something too deep to describe between brothers. But I ' m sure you know what I ' m saying To all my friends and relatives: Thank You! One thing will always stand out-friendship. Friendship builds unity - Ml lives on these friendships-without them the Institute will die The administration will come and go. Hope- fully, this one will be gone soon, but friendship will remain. Many people helped me through this place: my classmates, and the football team: however, five standout the most-Thanks Mom and Dad for the support and long conversations. Thank you Melissa for the good times and your tolerance. Thanks Coach White for giving me confidence, for praying for me, and having patience.
