LIBRARIAN REGISTRAR Working with mathematical precision, the Registrar’s office remains undiscriminating oven in the face of political pressure. Quiet and energetic. Registrar William H. Boll has made the process of registration run with machine like efficiency. In his newly remodeled offico grade records, eligibility lists, names and addresses and progress reports of all students aro conveniently filed. Despite the enormous task which he performs. Mr. Bell finds time to cxcol as a trapeze artist, wrestler and gymnast. Always lends a sympathetic hand in helping students check on requirements and in changing registration. Proud outhor of second generation, first edition, is Leonard Kirkpatrick College Librarian. Not content With amassing thousands of new volumes, he has notably in creased the efficiency of his staff. However, the social atmosphere in the main reading room still baffles him. Graduated from Stanford in I9?9. receiving Master's Degree there in 1936. he then spent one quarter at Iowa State. His theme song, without music: We'll have tc stop buying books and start throwing them away if we do not have a new wing on the Library within two years.

SUMMER SESSION The acme of kindness and thoughtful consideration for all whom he chances to contact is Dr. James H. Linford. Director of the Summer Session, and Superintendent of Correspondence Study. During his tenure of office his intense intorost in flowers and gardening activities have boon secondary only to ad ministrative duties. He is a recognized authority on Dahlia culture. Meeting people and keeping track of Aggie graduates is the major duty of Erwin Clements. Alumni Secretary. The Alumni Association, whose purpose is to form and strengthen friendship among former students, has steadily increased its membership by organizing new chapters throughout the Inter-Mountain area. During the year they sponsor Homecoming Day, contribute to the Library Endowment fund, publish the Alumni Quarterly, offer financial assistance to seniors through the Senior Loan Fund, and end the year by holding a banquet in honor of the new graduates. 33
