Texas International Law JOULfldl Focusing upon recent developments and significant trends in public and business related international law, the TEXAS INTERNATIONAL LAW JOURNAL publishes three issues per year. Despite the international emphasis of the publication a comparative analysis relates the legal interests of the United States and the American business community to the subject matter. Scholarly articles, reviews and commentaries are written by professionals and students as well. Members are selected twice a year by the successful completion of the TILJ candidacy program. At orientation, TQs greet their groups of approximately 25 students and serve as instructors in the Legal Research and Writing classes. In addition to teaching students how to write memorandums, TQs are adept at molding their proteges into great oral advocates during the spring brief writing and oral advocacy program. TQs serve as counselors and confidants, often organizing social activities and inter-TQ sports. They are chosen through an internship program each spring by the previous year's TQs. With the energy crisis as a timely subject, TEXAS LAW REVIEW published a series of articles devoted to the Arab boycott. The articles were based on presentations from a conference held at the Law School in February of 1976 concerning transnational economic boycotts and coercion. Founded in 1921 largely through the efforts of Dean Leon Green, the Law Review was organized as a medium for discussion of court decisions and proposed procedural and governmental changes. Texas Law Review added an eighth issue to its publishing schedule for 1976-1977.
