Spikers Advance to The Texas ' Women ' s Volleyball Team not only lost the game which would have given them a chance to go to the Nationals, but they lost their coach as well. Judy Conradt dropped volley- ball to coach full-time for UT ' s Women ' s Basketball Team. The ' Horns ' hopes for the season and for the Nationals were crushed when they tied for seventh place at the Regional Tour- nament in Gregory Gym. Joni Ramirez and Nell Fortner helped achieve victories over teams such as Texas Lutheran College and Trinity University. Victory over number one seed Texas Lutheran College at the Texas Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women South Zone Volleyball Tournament enabled the ' Horns to advance to UCLA ' s 10th National Invitational Volleyball Classic. Crowded conditions hampered the Longhorns, who finished 1-2-2.
