THE YEARBOOK OF USD The Coyote staff works diligently throughout the year to put out the USD yearbook. The yearbook office is found in the basement of the Old Union. It was just last year that the staff set up there and they have since been hoping for more improved conditions. PUBLICATIONS BOARD The Publications Board is the controlling body for all student publications. Functioning as a corporation, it accepts contracts for publications. It is through this board that all student journalistic endeavors must be approved. The board is made up of faculty members and student appointees. Faculty members are Dr. Knutson, head of the English Department; iMr. Anderson, purchasing agent; Mr. Andera, advisor to student publications; Mr. Simmons, head of the Journalism Department; Mr. VanOmmeren, a Journalism instructor; and Mr. Gibson, head of the News Bureau. The three student appointees are Diane Woodford, Jim Marchant and Blair Tremere. The three editors of the student publications are also members; Pete Sullivan, Volante; Mary Jane Munt, Coyote Yearbook; and Barb Grier, The Blast. The group meets every two weeks.
