For each of the past three years we have received recognition for Summerfest projects portraying contributions of German immigrants to Wisconsin and the United States. Annually we celebrate the German spring Karneval season with a Fasching party; and we show feature German films by noted German Filmakers. Our acitvities are financed by bake sales and prize money from our Summerfest projects. In October, we went to the Art Institute of Chicago to see a touring exhibit of French paintings called A Day In The Country. For the holiday season, our members brought cheers to a Nursing Home and were much appreciated. We also put up a tree and decorated the halls of the South Building. Second semester activities included a French dinner prepared by the club ' s members, a breakfast at La Petite France, a visit to French landmarks, speaking French during lunch at the French Table, viewing French movies and attending meetings of L ' Alliance Francaise.
