The State of Florida ' s only veterinary school, the College of Veterinary Medicine is recognized internationally for its wildlife program and research in the area of infectious diseases. Wildlife veterinarians at OF serve as a vital resource to referring veterinarians, the pet owning public, many private zoos and animal rehabilitation groups. Founded in 1978, the college offers a four year professional (D.V.M.) degree program, as well as graduate studies leading to Masters of Science or a Ph. D. in Veterinary Science. Serving the Needs of the Many Different Living Creatures Dr. Cheryl Chrisman, professor of small animal neurology, with Dreyfus and his owner, Scott Crane.
