Cgfloricla Tla ers The Florida Players have always brought Gator-men the kind of dramatic offerings wanted--as evidenced by continued, enthusiastic support from the student body. Last year, three majors-this season two major productions under war time conditions which saw stage managers and crews, and members of the two casts withdraw to play bigger roles under the direction of Uncle Sam. First semester brought forth A Slight Case of Murder lno pun in- tended? under the capable direction of Prof. Lester L. Hale and the second semester offered the even bigger hit The Late Christopher Bean directed by Prof, Roy E. Tew. The Players function solely for the pleasure of University of Florida students-those on both sides of the footlights-and so long as Florida men want them, Florida men will continue to have Florida Players.
