H istorian Alpha Epsilon Delta, the only pre-medical fraternity on the University of Florida campus, was installed April 4th, l93O. The fraternity is honorary and members are selected' 'on the basis of scholarship, medical interest, and character. There are thirty-two chapters in the United States and the organi- zation has long been recognized as the largest pre-medical fraternity in the country. Alpha Epsilon Delta is not only an honorary fraternity but also a service fraternity in that it aids pre-medical students in covering the long and tedious path in the direction of an M.D. degree. Its program consists of lectures, medical films, trips to medical schools, hospitals, and other institutions of interest to premeds . lts most essential element is that it has helped to bridge the gap between pre-medical training and the school of medicine.

T reasurer Beta Alpha Psi, honorary and professional accounting fra- ternity was installed March 26, l938, on the University of Florida campus. The fraternity consists of twenty National Chapters in all leading schools of Business and Accounting throughout the country. The purpose of Beta Alpha Psi shall be to encourage and foster the ideal of service as the basis of the accounting pro- fession, to promote the study of accountancy and its highest ethical standards, to act as a medium between professional men, instructors, students, and others who are interested in the development of the study or profession of accountoncyg to develop high moral, scholastic, and professional attainments in its members, to encourage cordial intercourse among its members and the profession generally.
