S tudent Member Seven solons who guide the destinies of University publications are the tour faculty members and three elected students on the Board ot Student Publications Chairmaned by a faculty member, the Board has complete control over all contracts, purchases, policies, appointments and awards. Under its supervision come the Florida Alligator, the Seminole, the Orange Peel, the F Book, and the Florida College Farmer, This year the Board has been faced with the tremendous problem of running the publications against odds of decreased enrollment, higher prices, and scarcity of materials, For the first time in history the Board voted to delve into the reserve fund to help finance the Seminole. Investigations are being made to continue the Florida Alligator throughout the vvar.

The game room provides recreation in billiards, ping pong and checkers. Various student publication offices keep the campus well supplied wtih news and current events. The ground floor, the spirit of Florida Union, begins with the directors office and information desk where the staff of the Union welcomes friends, visitors and students. Bryan Lounge provides news- papers, radio, and a place for friends to meet. Servicemen's Lounge is an attempt' to extend our services to servicemen to make their stay here as enjoyable as possible, The Alumni office welcomes former students and keeps in touch with them throughout the globe.
