Old Liners Win I3-O GRIFFITI-l STADIUM, Washington, Oct. 3l--- A luckloss Florida eleven that spent' all of tho first period and most of the first half in Mary- land territory could neither muster a scoring punch of its own nor stave off the Old Liner's counter thrusts and bowed by a I3-0 margin before 7000 fans today. Maryland went' into the air to gain the victory. Tommy Mont threw a couple ol strikes to Jack Mior and Bob James for the winning touchdowns, scored in the third and fourth periods. Georgia Goes Wild, 75-O JACKSONVILLE MUNICIPAL STADIUM, Nov. 7- -Florida today cast an additional ballot for the University of Georgia as the nation's lead- ing football team. The Georgians forced the vote by rushing, passing and running to a 75-0 win over the University of Florida. It was the most' lopsided score in the history of gridiron relationships be- tween the two schools. The Bulldogs piled up the tally without loo much help from their celebrated backfield star, Fireball Frankie Sinkwich. But' Frankie was around long enough to give convincing evidence of his greatness. Playing only in three quarters, and not going half the way in any ol them, Sink- wich scored twice on the ground and passed for two more touchdowns. He gained 7l yards in I0 rushes and found the receiver on five of nine passes for another ll2 yards. The fans didn't complain because he wasn't sent back in the last quarter. The score was large enough as it was. FARY FIFI DS PRATT WILLIAMS JAMISON
