The largest number of students in Westark's history were selected to the Who's Who Among American Junior College Students with thirty-seven Westarkers being accorded the honor. Selections were made by a joint faculty-administration committee which had members representing each of W.C.C.'s divisions. Students were selected on the basis of scholarship, community service and leadership.
