Greasepainters Present Courtroom Drama The most important project of the year for the Grease- painters, Tuscaloosa High dramatic group, has been the production ot The Night of January Sixteenth, a court- room drama in which leading citizens made up the jury, actually voting on the verdict after the play was over. lt was directed by Mrs. Rankin, speech teacher and spon- sor ot the club, and by Mr. Sellers, a student teacher. Other projects ot the year have included make-up and stagecratt classes and helping Town and Gown Theater when tht group presented a play in Tuscaloosa. SUSAN NELSON, Louise Besant, and Business Editor Pamela Mitchell with advisor Miss Ruby Gulley, have handled selling BLACK WARRIORS and ads. I Deadlines to meet, pictures to identify, copy to writee will the annual ever come out on time! These thoughts are foremost in the minds of the BLACK WARRIOR staff up until the last harrowing moment when everything is done. The December and February deadlines have sometimes brought threats of suicide from staff mem- bers. The production of the BLACK WARRIOR is a re- warding experience for all the staff, The discipline of meeting deadlines, the creativity of writing, the delv- ing into school events, the fellowship of the staff-all have been shared experiences. 1241
