Spring looks fine with golf, track, tennis. Great!! if FI' The day was especially spirited when THS grad Jim Crews auc- tioned off senior seats, free lunches, and cookie treats on the annual AFS Tag Day. The cof- fers were filled to the 331500 mark and if all goes well there will be new friendships made next year when more exchange students make this their home base. Boys' Pep added their memorable hit with a show to stop all fashion shows. -1141 The AFS bank account for '61- '62 got its initial push when the faculty Black-and-Blues chal- lenged the Senior Satellites for a basketball classic-no holds barred and near-sighted referees preferred. It surely was a spir- ited clash and the poor Satel- lites had a hard time keeping their All-American rating. iii Now that spring has rolled around, some of us have some scholarship honors racked up- more of us wish we had worked harder. Guess that hindsight isn't as good as foresight but it was a lot easier to produce. Any- how, ye ol' Class of '61 has an impressive page of honors on the graduation program. -KJ! Topeka West's inauguration next September fills us with mixed emotions. Mostly we're glad to be the last class to have only one loyalty. Didnlt the underclassmen Chargers do a fine job campaigning? It was no easy task, but what an oppor- tunity they'l1 have to start from scratch. We'll be watching you! Continued on Page 300
