Sock and Buskin, one of the oldest clubs on the campus, is an organization of students interested in the held of dra- matics. Nlembership is attained by tryout before a com- mittee. New members are selected early in each semester of the regular sessions, new ollicers are elected each semes- ter. Secretary-Treasurer Page 259 The purpose of Sigma Delta Pi is to foment a wider knowledge of and a greater love for the Hispanic contribu- tions to modern cultureg to stimulate a greater interest therein on the part of our students in colleges and univer- sities in the United States: to foster friendly relations in the cooperative spirit between the nations ol' Hispanic speech and English speech: and to reward those who show special attainments and interest. This Spanish honor fraternity, a new organization on the campus, was chartered in the spring of 1944. Requirements for membership in the fraternity are three years, or the equivalent, of college Spanish, a B average in Spanish, and a B- average in all other work.
