H Glen Toroian Freshmen and foreign students get particular attention TWU-9'7H'9T -'f--'- -' Charles Deinnom from T. C. F. Early last fall a social was sponsored to get acquainted with freshmen. A dinner was tendered all foreign students at the University. Several members took foreign llll students to their own homes during the Christmas holiday. - :.., CARE packages for students abroad were paid for by 'izi funds collected at the special T. C. F. lunclleon. Five weekly meetings are scheduled for participants in Temple Christian Fellowship. Each Tuesday the group meets for luncheon in the basement of Baptist Temple. In- eluded among the speaker guests at each luncheon this year 4 were Dr. Norman Paullin of Baptist Temple and Dr. f : :::: 5 ' ' L Cornelius DeBoe of Theology School, besides local min- isters. Their program- began -even.before the OFFICERS start of the fall semester, helping in the gigantic freshman President Norman Grossman orientation program. The football season brought Booster- V. -P ' 'A R b . . we resz en .,... ..,. ...... o e rt McCaifery sponsored pep rallies, which featured members of the foot- Secretm Elaine Bums ball team and coaching staff. Moving pictures of the team's Treasurgg 4 i al-01 n Cook games were a weekly Boosters feature. y Glamour and pageantry were added to the campus when Boosters co-sponsored a Homecoming Queen con- test. Annette Moshen was crowned Homecoming Queen during half-time ceremones at the Syracuse game. The second semester saw the annual penny preak- ness run off by Boosters. Undergrads matched penny for Y' penny down the Watt st. course for the benefit of the Sal- Eii' ' vation Army. Boosters also sponsored Tradition Week which acquainted students with the customs and tradiions of the University. - After the election of new officers in February, Boost- N ers' annual dinner for the Committee of Ten, the organize- W u tion s guiding body, was held at the University Club.
