These vociferous singers assemble twice Weekly under the direction of Miss Katherine Reed. The group has made appearances in chapel programs and aided in presenting the operetta. There are only twenty members this year because of war conditions, but what has been lacking in number has been made up in spirit. To be a member in this club is a worthy goal for any boy with vocal aspirations. Admission into this club assures satisfaction and a well- earned esteem to every boy with vocal ability. 57

Under the capable direction of Miss Katherine Reed, the girls have participated in a number of performances- Bond Day being one of the outstanding. Words and Music, a modern operetta, was presented early in the school year with outstanding success. Tureen suppers and parties have all compiled to make this a very successful year. 56

'?12.... 9.41 If: llperetta The annual operetta, Words and Music, was presented by the combined Glee Clubs on November 19 and 20, in the Old Main Auditorium, under the capable direction of Miss Katherine Reed. In keeping with the times a patriotic interlude was presented between the first and second acts, featuring a short play entitled Blow, Bugle, Blow. The operetta upheld the usual standard as the outstanding performance of the year.
