Any one interested in a career of medi- cine or nursing or whose in- terests lie in fields of botany or zoology will find much to interest him in this club. The interest displayed by the boys in the picture suggests that we may have sonLe future surgeons orprotessors of anatomy, or even a budding Mendel in the group. Moderator Sister Rose Marita This is the club to which future diplomats and linguists naturally gravitate, but its appeal is much wider than this and there is practically no student who cannot profit by membership in and attend- ance at a French Club. lt is with great difficulty that a language teacher in a secondary school steals time from irregular verbs and past participial agreements to enliven the lesson by a few games, songs or dram- atic skits. Yet certainly all these activities are not only enioyable but are an extremely valuable part of language education. These are the features of a club which make the study of a language attractive as well as useful. Moderator Miss Mueller The Public Relations Club is one which recog- nizes a very definite need for improved technique in public relations. lt aims first to improve the public speaking of its members by prepared speeches and by the use of the tape recorder. Advertising methods and psychology are studied with a view to understand- ing and applying them. Study of communications, such as television, radio and newspaper, and presented reports on these are an important part of each member's training. Service Club Moderator Sister Cecelia Aloysius The Service Club is one of the most indispensable of our many organizations at St. Michael's. lts members are fre- quently called upon to assist at school and parish affairs and they respond to these de- mands on their time with will- ingness and graciousness. They have earned the well-merited praise of all who have ob- served them. One of their favorite pro- iects, not immediately con- nected with the school, is the making of gifts for the sick sisters at St. Anne's Villa.
