Bam! Seventy people working as a unit, is a phrase Well suited to the South high band. The organization started the season by per- forming at football games as a marching band, under the baton of Gerald Kinsley, student director. A big event of the year occurred when its members joined all high schools in the All-City music festival, lanuary 17, 18, and 19. Early in February they were featured on a school radio program. The concert band is shown above playing for the 10th annual ROTC Military ball held at Peony park, February 22. Mr. Hamilton B. Smith is director.
