THIRD ROW: Darlene Littlcjohn, FRENCH CLUB Les Amis Francais was organized on February 5, l952 and is composed ot students oi French. lt has as its purpose the encouragement of interest in the French language by otiering an opportunity to use the language in conversa- tion, in songs and in games, to a greater degree than is possible in the class room. The club's first president is Vesta Muenster. Other officers are: Clara Groves, vice pres.p Tooter reporter, Willa Iohnsong secretary, Florence Clark: and Elaine Andersen, chairman oi program committee. A bal masque will high-light the spring activities of the club. Although the club is new, its members have hopes of expanding as the department grows. GERMAN CLUB Der Deutsche Verein of South High School, organized February 4, has as its president, Don Ehrlich: vice pres., Dean Wilnowy treasurer, Gary Vickery secretary, Evelyn Wemmerg chairman ot program committee, Duane Baltzery co-chairman, Arlene Krueger. The purpose of the club is to further interest in the German language and to supplement the class work through programs, conversation, songs and games. A Kaitealilatsch and an Ausflug are planned as the main spring activities. The enrollment ot the club is thirty-four.
