Rocks Second in Metro Conference The varsity Track team completed the 1971 season by winning four of six dual meets losing only to Moline and East Moline. The Rocks placed second in the Metro conference and Big 6. The team seized third in the District and boasted nine state qualifiers. The Little Rocks had a perfect 5-0 season. The underclassmen were able to capture second in the Metro conference and Big 6. This spring the Rocks and Coach Duane Bonsall look forward to another fine season. Fall Track Team First in District The 1971 varsity fall Track team under the direction of Duane Bonsall, turned in a 4-4 record this season. The Rocks went on to place second in the Quad-Cities, first in the Big 6, and first in the District, before they were finally stopped in the Sectional, placing eighth. The junior varsity proved themselves by winning six of seven meets. They also placed first in the Quad-Cities. The Lit¬ tle Rocks won two meets and were forced to forfeit four.
