The club went on field trips to computer shows and some members even par- ticipated in programming contests. Under the direction of Mr. Tom Williams, the Computer Club held monthly meetings and ran the elec- tronic sign in the cafeteria. DECA is the youth group that relates to marketing and distributive education classes at Lee. DECA is a national organization that promotes future leaders in marketing careers, Under the leadership of Miss Betty Ann Jones and Mrs. .Jackie Freeman, DECA held business meetings with guest speakers informing members about bankin, retailing, careers, and store security. ln February, members participated in area competition held in Galveston. During March, several members at- tended the Texas Career Development Conference in Fort Worth. San Fran- cisco was the site for the National Career Development Conference held in May.
