GALLOPING GHOST 37 CHORUS A group of over 100 students, under the direction of Mrs. Stautzenbach, has sung in three main events. At the Winooski Festival, held in Barre, B.-R. U. H. S. was represented by over 30 students. Seven senior members of the Chorus attended the All-State Music Festival held in Burlington. Later a Spring Concert was held in Randolph including all the Chorus. BAND, ORCHESTRA, MAJORETTES The band, orchestra and majorettes are directed by Mr. Ellis. These three groups represented B.-R. U. H. S. at Winooski and All-State Music Festivals. Robert Moore, a senior, was our representative at Dover, New Hampshire for the All New England Festival. The band, orchestra and chorus together, presented a Spring Concert in Randolph. As an added attraction of most band and orchestra activities, the majorettes did some of their fancy twirling. These girls are led by Margaret Battles. their captain. SPORTS The cheerleaders did an excellent job of keeping up the morale of the players at about 30 games this season. The senior cheerleaders this year are Shirley Russell, captain, Ann Webster, Geraldine Greenwood, and Sandra Allen. They boys' basketball squad coached by Mr. Wooster showed much improvement this year, winning nine of the nineteen scheduled games. The three most exciting games were with Williamstowia, Bethel, and Woodstock. The graduating players are james Pierce, David Barnard and manager Robert Moore. The baseball team, also coached by Mr. Wooster, has ten games scheduled for the year, the first two of which they have won. Graduating members of the team are james Pierce, David Barnard, and George Kendall. The girls' basketball team, coached by Miss Berry, had a very successful year win- ning 11 out of 12 scheduled games, the most exciting of which was with Waterbury. Those who graduate this year are assistant manager, Janice Young, and the players Harriet Chase, captain, Roberta Sargent, Elizabeth Facto and Margaret Battles.
