Students are encouraged to learn of the past so that they may un- derstand the present. The Paschal chapter, founded in 'I9I8, holds many social activi- ties throughout the year as well as the regu- lar meetings for the purpose of study and discussion. FLYING PANTHERS The Flying Panthers is a club founded to acquaint the students with the importance of aviation in our modern world. Many meetings are informative-featuring dis- cussions of meteorology, ground methods, search and rescue missions, and first aid. Numerous social activities highlighting the year include two formal dances, at Christ- mas and in the spring. THE LIBRARY CLUB The Library Club, under the sponsorship of librarians, Mrs. Ophelia Sparks and Miss Glenna Thomas, promotes the welfare of Paschal by suggesting and studying im- provements for the library and its .publicity program. The club is composed of the li- brary assistants, who meet each month to discuss the library problems. The Library Club considers the interests of the students, their suggestions as to new books and new methods, as well as library proiects.
