At half year the capable Chiefs had a re- cord of three wins and five loses. At this time Dave Miller, who led the Saginaw Valley scorers in '48, and Gene Bone were graduated from P. H. S. STAR QUINTET ..... To start the '49 season Coach Van Ryzin set up an almost entirely new team.
