SENIOR CLASS I-IISTCDRV We were a brighT and good-looking, as well as courageous, group oT sTudenTs when we enTered P.I-l.S. in The Tall oT I93 I. AIThough we were called greenies, we were TaiThTuI workers and were well represenTed in all school acTivi- Ties. In TacT, The sophomores became jealous oT us and ordered us To garb our- selves as lowly beggars To be iniTiaTed. We were TorTy-Tour in number. Our class oTTicers were Chauncy Grieser, presidenT, Charles Murphy, vice-presidenT: Maurice Rupp, secreTary-Treasurer: and Mr. Rob- bins, class sponsor. During our sophomore year we had The same TaculTy advisor, Mr. Robbins. We elecTed Maurice Rupp as our presidenT7 Ada Weber, vice-presidenTq and Adeline Winegarden, secreTary-Treasurer. We were sTruggling buT also accomplishing. We carried ouT The usual cusTom oT iniTia- Ting The Treshmen, and also Took an acTive parT in aThleTics, opereTTas, glee clubs, and various oTher clubs. In I933 we reTurned as iuniors wiTh only TwenTy-one IeTT. Those having The oTTiciaI roles were Ada Weber, presidenTg Mere- dirh BriTsch, vice-presidenT, MyrTie LanTz, secreTary-Treasurer. We were a very busy group oT sTudenTs. We published PeT Echoes which was ediTed by Ada Weber. To close our iunior year properly, we gave The seniors a big bangueT. ln order To have suTTicienT Tunds Tor This purpose, The play IT I-lappened in June was given. IT was very good, due To The coaching oT Mr. Robbins and Mr. Rych- ener and To The dramaTic TalenT oT our class. Cnly TwenTy oT The original class became seniors.
