Planning a tomato plant sale means a great deal of careful attention by FFA boys. With the addition of a greenhouse, the Future Farmers of America were able to expand their study of plant growth. PHS is the only school in the district with such an experimental laboratory. The future farmers sold tomato plants to help pay the expenses of the lab- oratory. Their services also proved helpful to the Pasadena and Houston Rodeo Committees and to the Interact Club's sale of Golden Raintrees. At the annual fall FFA Pageant, Arlene Lucas, sopho- more, was crowned sweetheart of 1967-68. Cindy Car- roll, also a sophomore, was first runner-up. Pasadena officers perform the opening ceremonies at the annual district Parent-Son Banquet.
