varsity swimming Again this season, under the watchful eye of veteran swim- ming coach Newt Stark, the Pasadena City College swimming team completed a fine season. Although the Lancer natators turned in some time individual performances, they were unable to gain many meet victories. Leading the Lancers were Brian Motta, Neal Thompson, and John Jackson. The Pasadena swimmers spent the entire season on thc road because ot damage to the PCC pool, but will be able to host their share of the meets next year on completion of the new pool. One of the outstanding meets for the Lancer tracksters was their seventh-place finish in the South- ern California Relays. Out of a field of eleven schools, the PCC spikers were pitted against some of the top iaycee track- men in California, and their seventh-place finish was a tribute to a team which lacked man power. Even though victories were hard to gain, the Lancer tracksters showed fine spirit and took their share of the spoils.
