Administrators A school is a community whose 1-CI'1'lbC1'S, the ad- ministrators, teachers, service personnel, and students, reside for specific periods within certain boundaries and share a government aimed toward providing the necessary order and the maximum comfort for group living. The school newspaper disseminates information to all. The graded curriculum allows the students, the majority members, to plan for individual scholastic achievement. The student council provides them repre- sentation in government. In this community, members learn to work and play together. They learn, either as participants or spectators, through classrooms and clubs, through gym and field, through concerts and plays. Although the time spent in this community by most of the members is relatively brief, the impact on them is great. The achievements gained, the friendships formed, and the good times shared are all enduring experiences. CHARLES K. JENKINS, Bed., Ms Principal Paris High School The Faculty- At Teachers' Meeting E Page Seven

I-IARLIE HATFILL, B.S., M.A. Superintendent Paris Public Schools Me One would not expect to travel the streets of Gay Paree and fail to notice Vecole fthe schoolb wherein so many of our citizens, as well as you, our present stu- dents, have spent many happy and profitable hours. They now look upon their Alma Mater with just and honest pride, for we who work at Paris High School have set our main goal a way of developing indi- viduals for the highest type of personal and social liv- ing of which they are capable. Education to those of us here is conceived as a continuous process of people working together to solve their problems in satisfying ways. The quality of the life of the school is dependent upon cooperative planning for the solution of these problems. May your training here stand you in good stead for all of your future years and may you, too, pause and, as others before you, say, C'est vnagnijiqne, n'est-ce pas? fIt's magnificent, isn't it?j PARIS BOARD OF EDUCATION --DISTRICT No. 95 Leftito right-Mr. Art Roberts, Dr, W.
