Ray, Walter Bergstrom, Doug Barker, Larry Charles, John Beniamin, David Jenkins, Tim Middle, Harold Case, Bob Denning, Mr. Kalber, Mr. Gordon, Dick Perez, Mgr., Doug Johnson, mgr. Coach Glenn Blagg's Terror Wrestling Squad completed a highly successful i958 season with a record of eight wins and six defeats. The Terror matmen provided tough competition for all opposing teams. The matmen started the season with wins against Pueblo County, La Junta, Pueblo Central and Rocky Ford. The first loss of the season was handed the Terror matmen by Grand Junction as the Tigers overpowered the Tribe, 35-6. After losing to the defending state champions, Montrose, the Terrors came back with wins over Englewood, Centennial, Trinidad, West Denver, and Golden. The final matches of the season saw the Tribe drop close contests to North and East Denver and Arvada. The Terror matmen swept the honors in the annual South Central League tournament as they captured seven first place, three second place and two third place ribbons. With top honors also in the district meet, the squad was confident of a good showing in the state meet, but iniuries and rough competition proved too much for the Terror men. George Pacheco took a fourth place ribbon and remained the only Terror to win in the Denver Meet. Early in February the Tribe B squad wrestlers played host to four wrestling teams from south- ern Colorado. Eleven of the twelve Terror matmen placed in the tournament as the Tribe captured top honors. The strength here was a good indication that next season's team may be even stronger than the T958 A squad.
