The Terror stickmen, defending Colorado Springs League champions for l957, skated off to a fast start by defeating the Cheyenne Indians, 4- 2, in the opening game of the season. Three goals by Boosty Cool, added to brilliant goal tending by Dick Reinking, gave the Tribe the opening vic- tory. The next two games saw the Terrors take wins against St. Mary's and Fountain Valley School, 8-O and ll-O respectively. The Cheyenne Indians, traditional rivals of the Terrors, handed the Tribe its first defeat of the season by a 4-O score. Double victories against St. Mary's and a win over Fountain Valley set the stage for an important game with Cheyenne Mountain High with both teams tied for first place, the largest crowd of the season filled the Broadmoor Ice Palace. The Terror icemen held a 3-I lead after one period of play, but the Indians came back in the second period of action with two quick goals to knot the score and hold the Tribe to a 3-3 tie. Victories over St. IVlary's and Fountain Valley held the Brown and White in a first place tie with the Cheyenne Indians, thus, the last game of the season, against the Indians, broke the deadlock for first place and gave the victor the ice championship. Two scores for Cheyenne in the first two periods of play, added to six penalties for the Terrors, gave the Indians a 2-I win and the I-lockey League crown. The only Tribe tally came on a goal by Boosty Cool, the Terror's high point man for the season.
