Ouachita appeared to have the game iced away in the opening minutes when All-Stater jackie Morrison skipped 90 yards in a dazzling touchdown sprint on the initial kickoff. Ellen's placement tnade it 7-0. XVith less than five minutes expired, Spear Titsworth pounded across from the one-yard stripe. climaxing a hammer- like drive. Ellen again converted. Then the fireworks began. Sam Bailey, Aggie quar- terback who later entered Ouachita, passed to Ralph Holland from the Tiger 20 for the first 'Rider tally and before the quarter ended Holland took a Baptist punt on his own 35 to go all the way. Before halftime A Sc M scored again, set up by a Tiger fumble on their own 17, In four power plays Bailey went over from the one, making it 21-14 in the Aggies favor. In the last half, it was the same nip-and-tuck affair as the Bailey-to-Holland combo clicked again, 'l'iger End Bernie Hargis tnade it ever more thrilling with his stolen-ball touchdown. Then Gleason and Hudson cracked the 'Rider line with Gleason scoring, but Magnolia led 2826 on the in- fallible placements of Davis. Bailey passed for another Aggie marker, swapping touchdowns with Hudson, but Magnolia remained out lront, 34 to and stalled the final two minutes away. Bailey passed for the last Aggie touchdown.
