The Girls' Athletic Association, better known as G.A.A., is an organization for girls participating in sports. During the year basketball, volleyball, deck tennis, baseball and dancing were offered. Q 1 In the fall 28 new members were given rough initiation and formal recognition. Such services as giving baskets to the needy, making tray favors and scrapbooks for servicemenls hospitals, conducting paper drives, and selling T. B. Christmas seals and bangles were rendered throughout the year. The members attended a city-wide picnic, ring meetings, NVorld Fellowship Tea, Co to Church Sunday, the Star- dustn dance and many other social events sponsored by the Y. NV. C. A. A picnic was given for the new members, a Christmas party, and a final party in the spring. Impressive Christmas and Easter assemblies were given before the entire student body. Page T wenty-eight

Band Under the direction of Mrs. Wendholt, the Otter Creek High School band, com- posed of 57 members, has had a very successful season this year. The band played at all the home games, pep sessions and gave two assembly programs. This year there are several members representing the Otter Creek band in the solo and ensemble contest on March 24. The band will also compete in the band and orchestra contest sometime during the first part of April. Page Thirty
