Memfjers are chosen at the end of their Fresh- man year lor outstanding participation in Mid- Mirrors and at least two other campus activities. hese women must fiave an accumulative point hour ratio of 2.3. I nc girls vno are to he initiated receive tlieir invitations on the evening preceding the first day ol May Week, and they wear gold paper mir- rors lo their classes until 11:00 a.m. . t this time, they meet at the head of the Oval where they are led by retiring members down the long w-alk to Mirror Lake, where they receive their tiny gold mirror pins. .After the ceremony, the initiates are honored at a luncheon given by the outgoing members. The members of Mirrors are paired off at the beginning ol their Sophomore year as co-chairmen of Mid-Mirrors committees, which are composed of about 15 Freshman girls. Each committee covers as many as possible of the following projects dur- ing the year: a tour of all the activities offices, giving the girls a chance to meet the office staffs and watch them function, the preparations of the quarterly Mirrors publication, a party for under- privileged children, make Christmas cards to be sent to an orphanage, keeping the VIC-Mirrors bulletin board up to date. 1 hese are only a few of the projects done. The Executive Board consisted of Roland Fox, Bill Reidenhach. Herh lolovitz. Walt . pplegate, .lac k I aylor, John Holloman, .John Spence, and Bob Arena. These men helped to formulate the pro- gram for the year. 1 he last thing the members ol Romophos did this year was to give a bancpiet for the new mem- bers after the initiation, at wliiili lime they passed on the secrets of the honor soi iel to the new- members.
