NORTHEASTERN vs. DENBY Though they had to wait twenty years to do it, the Falcon grid team finally defeated Denby. With a score of 26-13, they gave Denby its first setback in 33 consecutive games against Eastside opponents. Aided by Joe Agnello's powerful running, the Fal- cons led from start to finish. Denby's backs just cou1dn't cope with such linemen as Bill Conrad, JohnWasacz, Ronald Quart, Frank Flowers, and Frank Matynowski, who stopped their runners cold. Eldon Martin, Joe Agnello, and Frank Matynowski led the scoring. NORTHEASTERN vs. WILBUR WRIGHT Still excited over ending Denby's winning streak, the Falcons continued on their way by mauling the helpless Wilbur Wright eleven, 32-0. The Wright squad just cou1dn't stop the powerful Falcons, as they went on to rout and gain their fourth straight victory. NORTHEASTERN vs. MILLER With the Eastside Championship game insight, the Falcons took on the Trojans of Miller and won a hard-fought contest with the score of 12-0. The Falcons wasted little time in scoring when Falco Campana hit Frank Matynowski with a pass in the end zone on the first play, thus putting them in the lead. Falco added another marker later in the game, leadingathe team on to victory.
