COACH JOHNNY WALKER After being here only two years, Coach Walker has built a football team which has broken all records at Northeast by winning nine games and only losing one. Yet he has done more for Northeast than to build a win- ning football team. He has instilled in the boys and the student body a feeling of sportsmanship and loyalty to our school. We have all absorbed some of his far and desare.' The Student Body of N.H.S. cannot express its feeling of gratitude. Quarterback David Cross gains fifteen yards in a sweep around right end in the game against Central. Northeast won 20-0. His blocker is DOUC POTTI R Doug Potter.

llllllllllll cofxcu KARNS coAcH MEREDITH COACH SWOVELAND The assistant coaches are an indispensable part of high school coaching. The three assistant coaches we have at Northeast are of the highest quality and charac- ter and they deserve much of the credit of building a winning football team. Coach Walker has said many times the assistant coaches work harder than he does and get very little of the credit. Coach Karns coached the varsity and the NB' teams. Coach Meredith is line coach and Coach Swoveland coached the C squad and scouted the opposition. They did a great job.
