The J V baseball team had a great year of improvement. The team had a well balanced attack of hitting, pitching, and fielding. The team was coached by Randy Wade and assisted by Tim Liberto. With all these things put to- gether, along with many talented play- ers, the JV ended with a 15 win, 3 loss, and l tie record and second place Dis- trict finish. The team was loaded with improved players including Timmy Brock, Steven Cope, Jeff Conway, Brad Easterling, Davis Maulding, and Antho- ny Gibson. With the team building a great foundation, there should be many candidates for the varsity team in the future. Newman Smith is building a sol- id tradition in baseball, beginning with the JV team.
