Linksmen finish season 7-8 New Haven ' s golf team had a respectable but un- spectacular season finishing with a 7-8 record. The Bulldogs, coached by Frank Clark, opened the year on a sour note, losing their first two meets to Bishop Luers and South. Led by senior Ritchie Clark who shot a 33 and a 34, the linksman won their next two matches against Bishop Dwenger and Concordia. The locals then lost five of their next seven matches to Snider twice and to North, Carroll and Elm- hurst once. They notched victories against Garrett and Woodlan in away meets. Defeating Bellmont and DeKalb, and losing to Elmhurst again and then finally beating South, the linksmen finished strong. New Haven finished eighth in a sectional field of 22. Ritchie Clark, Doug Lohse, Cary Lonis and Bob Himel- stein were the foursome that competed.
