A Helping Hand id you ever wonder where most of the help comes from when our different sports, clubs, and academics need money? Well, the answer is Booster Club. Booster Club is a group of adults inter- ested in helping our school in any way they can. If a club wanted money for an activity, they would put in a written request. Then a board of sixteen votes on the request. Some of the money came from special fund raisers like the Toro-thon and some from in the football program. Without the Booster Club's assistance, many groups would have been in financial trouble. HI' R. Rader. Booster Club President Bob Ker- nagis calls the meeting to order and then goes over the agenda with tlie members. Nancy Rader listens to the speaker while Duane Springer taltes notes. Hit The Slopes efore the ski trip you could always catch little pieces of conversation on the latest in ski wear, ski equipment, and the fastest runs. When the Ski Club returned all you heard was how much fun the trip was and how low the temperature was. The skiers were willing to withstand the freezing cold, the sore muscles, and the frostbitten fingers and toes, just for a weekend on the slopes. The Ski Club paid their own way up and back to Purgatory and organizational help came from sponsors Tom Guest, Burdell Moody, and Wayne Vala, and the club's officers: President Mike Rosati, Vice Presi- dent Laurie Welch, and Secretary Betsy Anderson. Flying through the air with the X greatest of ease, Bruce Higginson shows his stuff at Purgatory, Sylvia and Paul Kasprzyk show what fun ir is to go to Purgatory and fool around.
