Wood Science and Technology This club strengthens the ties between students and faculty in this profession by offering a program of entertainment, meetings, and oppor- tunities for professional develop- ment. The Arnold Air Society is an organization of Air Force ROTC cadets. The Society is named in honor of the late General H. H. (Hap) Arnold. The Kenneth J. Sneddon Squadron at MSU is one of the strongest in the nation. Its recognitions include the Chennault Trophy of 1972, the Area C-2 outstanding squadron award, and the Maryland Cup, denoting it as the number one squadron in the nation in 1973. Society of Biological Engineers The Society of Biological Engi- neers is composed of Biological Engineers at Mississippi State. The Society helps expose engi- neers to fields related to biological engineering and provides inform- ation concerning jobs available upon completion of school. Information concerning graduate schools with programs in biologi- cal and biomedical engineering is provided to its members. Activi- ties of the Society include bi- annual picnics, exhibits during High School Day and Open House in the Spring. The Wildlife Society exists primarily to benefit humanity through professional endeavors. Secondarily, the individual benefits from the program efforts. The Society believes that wildlife is closely interrelated with other natural resources and that wildlife should have a permanent place in our culture. It encourages wisely-determined uses and programs to enhance the biological, educational, aesthetic, recreational, social and com- mercial values of wildlife as part of a complete environment. 147

gw apt? Vi 1 In Angel Flight Often girls are seen on campus in tailored Air Force blue uniforms. These girls are very spe- cial because they are Angels — and involved Angels at that. Angel Flight is a national service organization connected with the Air Force ROTC. Angels aid the Arnold Air Society with various projects and also sponsor certain pro- jects of their own. Angels promote university and community activities as well. Whether it is a party for the Air Force cadets, a rival blood drive with Ole Miss, or a door-to-door solicita- tion for the Heart Fund, Angels are involved.
