Members of the Horticulture Club are: Hearnsberger, Carlisle, Bell, Main, Parker, Stough, Porter, Palmer, Wattle, Cheng, Rawls, Goodgame, Callaway, Korns, Overcash. Horticulture Club Holds Mum Sales The Horticulture Club holds the yearly Homecoming mum corsage sales to finance the club ' s activities which include a Christmas party, a spring picnic, and informational programs. Besides sending members to the annual convention, the club awards a $100 scholarship yearly to a student in horticulture chosen by a student-faculty committee. The club ' s main purpose is to promote an interest in horti- culture and its subfields among the student body. Students majoring in horticulture as well as those in other fields who are interested in horticulture are invited to join. 252

Plant Pathologists Promote the Study of Agriculture The Phytopathology and Weed Science Student Club was organized on February 22, 1964. The objectives were to pro- mote the profession of agriculture and particularly, the fields of Plant Pathology and Weed Science; to develop fellowship among the members of the Department of Plant Pathology and Weed Science; to sponsor certain Departmental activities; and to act as the official agent in representing the students of the Department. Membership was extended to any interested stu- dent of good academic standing in the college of agriculture, who displays both within and without the University unfailing respect for order, morality and personal honor, and the rights of others.
