Competin in the Northwest Open, MSC placed third behind the Univer- sity of Minnesota and Nebraska Uni- versity. MSC lost a heartbreaker to Western Illinois University 5934-5236 in their Hnal match of the season. MSC took a Hrst place in the regional college competition defeating all comers with a total of 224 points to 87 points for their nearest competitor, Eastern Illinois. MSC took four lirst places and a first and a second were won in the overall competition by Lenny Thomp- son and jim Schmidt. The Indians finished the dual season with a respectable mark of ten wins against iive losses. Head Coach Don Langdon had noth- ing but praise for his team during the year and added that this was the hard- est working team he had coached in a long time.
