GAA is for the sports-minded girl, who not only likes to watch sports but also to participate. This year the girls did little gym work. They mainly bowled. The bowling average of every girl increased the more she played. Sandra Paxton. is the president, Russlyn Shugerts, secretaryg Jo McNutt, the sports manager: Miss Gloria Altomare, adviser. GAA The Pep Club is an organization of students whose purpose is to create and uphold school spirit. During the football season the club held pep rallies at the football field Thursday nights, Where they learned new cheers. The club is advised by Miss Gloria Alto- mare and led by Paige Draher, president: Dallas Lutz, co-president: Sherry Severn, secretary: and Vicki Harsh, treasurer. STANDING: Rusty Shugerts, Ellen Donaldson, Richard Moore, Bob Thompson, .lim Uukefer, Janice Snyder, Jill lflenry, Susan Elder. ational Honor Society The program of the Minerva Chapter of the National Honor Society included two noteworthy projects. After replenishing the treasury with the proceeds from the shoe-shining service furnished by the newest initiates, the honor group gave a party in March for all students who made the Honor Roll at any time during the first semester. Honor Society members rendered service to their school and fellow students by cleaning the First Aid room. The organization was composed of 14 members-eight seniors and six juniors. The second semester officers were Gloria Chambers, president, Richard Moore, vice- presidentg Judy Hein secretary: Beth Cas- sidy, treasurer. Miss Wachtel is the adviser. The National Honor So- ciety began the past year with four members who were initiated in their junior year. They were Beth Cassidy, first semest- er presidentg Nancy Unke- fer, vice-president, Ellen Jackson, secretary, and Gwendolyn Hilliard, treas- urer. This group conducted the formal initiation cere- mony of the seniors who were admitted during the W first semester.
