The Future Farmers of America have been quite busy this year by Learning to do, Doing to learn, Learning to live, Living to serve. The school year got off to a good start when the boys exhibited their shop pro- jects at the Stark County Fair in August. Some Fund raising projects were selling fire extinguishers and seat covers for trac- tors. The members passed out safety stickers which were placed on corn pickers by neighboring farmers. They also planted trees for a reforestation project. The social activities of this group included 90 a skating party with the FHA and a basketball team. We are quite proud of our parliamentary procedure team this year. It not only re- ceived the gold award for the fifteenth year, but won first place in the district, after competing against eight other schools. Other schools may receive the gold award also, but only one school may be first in the district. The members of this outstanding team are: Sam Figley, Howard Snyder, Jack Slider. Jim Irwin. Ted Gram. Ed Gram, Jerry Haynam. Tom Hudy, Clinton Davis, Sandy Sanor, Mike McNutt. and Toby Lyons.
