Early in the game with Monahans 1 side line pass from Waffebrd to l aw son proxed to be good for six points A thirty yard run from an off tackle play by Wafford was good fo six more points Then late in the third period Wafford scored from the four yard stripe and this was more than enough for our opponents rlhe final score was Midland 19 Monahans 6 'lhe loboes stuck to straight football for the first fue minutes and seemed to be bent on victory but they soon changed to around the end tactics flip in the ball rather wildly is spelled defeat for the loboes nl he en tire Bulldog forward wall played well enough that day to be placed on th All District team On lhanksgiving Day the Bulldogs encountered the Broncs from Odessa on lackey Field and that same old tradi tion was upheld No team from Odessa has ever beaten the Bulldogs on I ackey Field Although the margin was slim the victory was clear cut from start to finish The Broncs threw a stubborn defense up against the Bulldogs and for awhile it seemed as though it might prove to be strong enough to hold the latter but in the second half he Doggies got the range and a touch down was pushed over early in the fourth quarter The blocking and tackling on both sides was far above par in this game.
