At the half the Bears led 7-0 Tom ltemus scored first for the Hokams in the third quarter, but the ii T was blocked and PC still led 7-6. With 7 7:26 left in the game om Altemus scored again to take the third victory of the yean Greg Griffin can't get at Trinidad running back. Mesa 34, Dixie College 75 Mesa again ruined the Homecoming festivities of an opponent by defeating Dixie College in St. George, Utah. The offense and defense both gave one of their best performances of the season, with VWllie Franklin breaking a school pass receiving record of 374 yards on 25 receptions, as of that game. 77 Tight end Pat Medchill is tripped up by an opponent.

Mesa 0, Arizona Western 74 Arizona Western, the number two junior college team in the nation, blanked Mesa 74-0 for the Hokams' third loss of the season. The powerful Western defensive held MCC scoreless through the entire game, with Western scoring in the first and third quarters for the victory. Mesa 27, Mesa, Colo. 7 The Hokams upset tenth-ranked Mesa, Colorado for MCC's second win in five outings. Tom Altemus blocked a Maverick punt to set up the first score by Willie Franklin, a 24-yard touchdown pass. The score was deadlocked at the half 7-7, but the Hokams went on to score two more TDs for the final score of 27-Z Mesa 0, Glendale 8 The Hokams disappointed a large Homecoming crowd by dropping a close one to Glendale. Many of the Hokams were injured during the evening, while Glendale scored only once, winning 8-0. One of Larry Harlow's fourteen unassisted tackles. Number 85 Tom Altemus watches as Milton Leonard is pulled down by a Mesa Colorado tackler. Mesa 0, E.A..l C. 32 Mesa dropped their second game in a row, losing to the powerfull Eastern Arizona Gila Monsters 32-0, before an excited Homecoming crowd in Thatcher. The Monsters scored first on a pass interception. The strong Monster defense caused the Hokams to make many- costly errors, and held them scoreless throughout the evening.
