V., and Varsity Football, Cross Country, Boys and Girls Swimming teams, and members of the Fall Rally squad. lAboveJ Guest speaker, Mr. Noah Allen, Ath- letic Director and head football coach at Pa- cific University, spoke about sports and about coach Knute Rockney. After the speech by Mr. Allen a bracelet on behalf of Fall Rally was presented to their advisor, Miss Joy Tiaden, also a corsage was presented to Miss Watkins by the girls of the Swimming team.

Main event of the Spring Boys' League Coun- SENIOR OVERPOWERED UN- BEATEN JUNlORS in the annual Boys' League Interclass Track Meet sponsored by the Spring Boys' League Cabinet. The sen- iors scored an outstanding vic- tory, tallying 99 points. Next came the iuniors with 83 points. The frosh came in third with 21 points, and sophomores with 17 points. Meet director D o u g Tonn, termed the race a great success. Both girls and boys entered into the contests and seniors an- swered the challenge and de- throned the defending iuniors. May 13, at 3:30 P.M., Mayor Terry Schrunk lit the torch which was run to Madison to light the 9-foot main torch in the Madison courtyard. Committee chair men were' Pres. Terry Brown, V. P. Doug Tonn, Sec. Ernie Wood- cock, Hist. Greg Etchison, Treas. Glen Post, Jr. Rep. Mike Butts, Soph. Rep. Jack Smelzer, and Frosh Rep. Ed Crawford. From the torch lighting to the hootenany this was a memorable group of events.

The Fall Girls League sponsored a Hoop- eroo in which senior girls and iunior girls collided to see who was best in basketball. The seniors with little trouble ran over the iunior Squad. Coach for the iuniors was Miss Joy Tiaden, and for the seniors, Miss Jean White. Freshman and sophomore cheerlead- ers were chosen from those who came the closest to guessing the number of beans that were in a iar in front of the student store. Half-time entertainment was provided by the iunior-senior boys' dance line. A dance entitled the Turn- about , a girl ask boy affair, followed the game. At the game the Spring rally intro- duced their uniforms. They were a tailord style. basically blue offset with bright red trim. The necklines were nautical in tailoring.
